Is this lamp battery powered?

No. It is mains powered, so there is no battery to charge and no run time to think about. It stays at full brightness for as long as it is plugged in.

It measures 14 by 19cm, roughly 5.5 by 7.5 inches, which is small enough for a desk, a shelf or a nightstand without dominating the surface.

How do you dim it and change the colour?

A touch switch on the lamp cycles the three light colours, warm white, natural white and cool white, and dims steplessly across the range.

Is it bright enough to work at a desk all day?

It is a 3W LED, so treat it as a small adjustable light rather than a main task lamp. The cool white setting is the most useful of the three for desk work, but for long sessions on detailed work a larger dedicated task light is the better tool.
